Attempting to post results in this incorrect and frankly bizarre
sequence of events:

1. News client relays message from server saying I've set some locale
wrong. (I haven't changed any such settings -- language, time zone,
etc. -- in my client since yesterday, when it had no objections to my
locale.)

2. News client says posting of message failed.

3. Checking the newsgroup for new articles reveals that posting of
message in fact succeeded, despite my allegedly having a screwed-up
locale.

So, the server is saying that I did something wrong that I didn't do
wrong (unless there's been a rule change and something that was
acceptable 24 hours ago suddenly isn't); then saying it's rejecting my
article as malformed due to this alleged error; and then not actually
rejecting the article anyway.

Upshot is, I can post, but have to wade through a ton of annoying extra
bleeps and dialog box "cancel" buttons for each one.

Would someone mind putting the server back into the state it was in 24
hours ago, save retaining all articles received since then? In its
present state using it is annoying. It's too ... whiny.

Why would you want to change your locale anyway?

I'm having the same problem. Yesterday everything worked fine. I did not
change anything, in fact my computer was turned off. I dont even know
what they mean about the locale, or how that would be changed....

That's why I came to this newsgroup, to see if anyone else was having
the same problem. Obviously the problem is in the AIOE server.
